The Civic Halls have been a beloved part of our city for generations. Offering the very best entertainment from some of the biggest names in music, comedy and sport, audiences have been known to travel hundreds of miles for a night out here.
From rock legends as varied as Queen, David Bowie and Nirvana to huge pop acts including One Direction, Take That and Little Mix. From the stars of heavy metal, R&B, soul, dance, folk, goth and hip-hop the Civic and Wulfrun halls have offered something for everyone over the years. Legends of comedy from Ken Dodd to Jimmy Carr, Victoria Wood to Sarah Millican have played sell-out shows and we've hosted some of the best performances from the world of darts and wrestling. Then there's been our classical music and school choir concerts, ballets, plays, tea dances and iconic Friday and Saturday club nights.
We want to celebrate all the joy the Civic has brought to Wolverhampton over the years – both the huge names and the personal memories. We'll be sharing the exciting transformation of the Civic and Wulfrun Halls as well as delving into the city's archives to honour their history.
